Session 1: Tonglen Practice – Heart Opening and Purification Practice
This is one of Tibetan Buddhism’s most powerful and beneficial practices for ourselves and others. In this workshop one will learn the benefits of the practice, plus learn to practice this simple yet profound technique oneself. One visualizes taking in the suffering of others on the in-breath, and on the out-breath giving love, compassion, and healing to oneself, others, or all sentient beings. This practice is incredibly powerful, not only to help others, but to reduce attachments, dissolve the ego (self-cherishing), purify karma and to develop and expand loving-kindness and bodhicitta. The practice of Tonglen involves all of the Six Perfections; giving, ethics, patience, joyous effort, concentration and wisdom. These are the practices of a Bodhisattva
Session 2: White Tara Practice – For Healing, Purifying and a Long Life
In this session you will learn how to do a powerful practice, that connects us with, and invokes within us the healing qualities of White Tara. This practice helps awaken the mirror like wisdom of the Buddha to remove all obscurations, to enhance both inner and outer wealth, and to awaken our innate wisdom and healing qualities from within.
